Pledge Ed Nominations!

Hey all,

I had a mental lapse at the meeting and forgot to do pledge ed nominations. So here is what we are going to do.

First the guidelines:

You may run for pledge ed as both a single person or a duo. If you are going to run as a duo you must be nominated as such beforehand.
If you want to run for pledge ed you must be active this quarter and the rest of the year.
2.0 cum GPA and not on AP.
We need you to attend a day retreat with the rest of exec to get to know us and plan out the rest of the year in more detail. This will be on January 11, 2008. The first Sunday after week one of winter quarter. If you can’t make this date you need to let Jason know before you run.
Be prepared to give a speech no longer than 3 minutes at the next meeting and be ready for a Q&A session that will last as long as it takes for every brother with a valid question to be heard. (more…)

Hey all!

Thanks to eveybody that came to the first info night tonight. Brie and the whole exec appreciate your involvement.

Tomorrow boothing continues! Please go to the UU and help out whenever you have a break tomorrow; the more people that we tell about APO the better. Tomorrow is also the first meeting of the quarter in building 3-111 at 8. We’ll try to keep this first meeting short and sweet because I know you all are busy with your first week back — I know that I am. I hope to see you all tomorrow.

Rush week update.

Hey all,

By now hopefully you have noticed that the calendar has made it back to the site and can be accessed from the bar at the top of the page. I have all the current times for rush week updated there. These are the most recent times given to me by Brie and they are more up to date than the ones in the last post.

Boothing starts today! I hope you all can sign up for a few hours to booth during the week. Please contact Brie with the times you are available. Also tonight is our first info night from 7-8PM in 3-111. Please come by if you can.

We’re back to school again and it’s time for Rush Week! If you are interested in rushing Alpha Phi Omega come to one of our events this upcoming week:

Tuesday 9/23: Info Night. 7:00- 8:00 Bldg. 3 Rm. 111.

Wednesday 9/24: “Service Showcase” with ice cream sundaes! 6:30-7:30pm Bldg. 3 Rm. 111.

Thursday 9/25: Game night! 6:30-8pm Bldg. 3 Rm. 111.

Friday 9/26: Beach clean up and TBA! 6pm-9:30pm

Monday 9/29: What can APO do for you info night? 7-8pm Bldg. 3 Rm. 111.

Tuesday 9/30: Interviews. Times TBA Bldg. 3 Rm. 111.

Tuesday Night: Pinning. 6:30-9pm Bldg. 3 Rm. 111.

Hopefully, by the time you all read this first post our site will be up and running. Colleen and I have been working hard on this all summer so hopefully you will like what you see. Right now you are seeing just a basic page but hopefully as the year progresses and we put more time into this site you should see improvements that the board and I think will help your day-to-day experience with APO run more smoothly. Watch this news page and go to meetings for more information as this quarter progresses.
