Pledge Ed Nominations!
Hey all,
I had a mental lapse at the meeting and forgot to do pledge ed nominations. So here is what we are going to do.
First the guidelines:
- You may run for pledge ed as both a single person or a duo. If you are going to run as a duo you must be nominated as such beforehand.
- If you want to run for pledge ed you must be active this quarter and the rest of the year.
- 2.0 cum GPA and not on AP.
- We need you to attend a day retreat with the rest of exec to get to know us and plan out the rest of the year in more detail. This will be on January 11, 2008. The first Sunday after week one of winter quarter. If you can’t make this date you need to let Jason know before you run.
- Be prepared to give a speech no longer than 3 minutes at the next meeting and be ready for a Q&A session that will last as long as it takes for every brother with a valid question to be heard.
Those are all the requirements I can remember now but if I think of any that I forgot or anyone on exec does I’ll send another e-mail update.
The way nominations will work is by e-mail (to Jason) or at the beginning of the next meeting. If you don’t already have a second to your nomination we can get those at the beginning of the next meeting as well. Be sure if you want to nominate someone that they know they have been nominated and are qualified and prepared as per above list. They will have to be at the next meeting and also verbally accept the nomination at the meeting.
It is very important that every active brother is at the next meeting. There is no voting by proxy but the voting will be at the end of the meeting so you can make it even if you are running late. That is all for now.
